About Flor de Tango
Flor de Tango is an enchanting boutique tango festival that we organize with a deep love for tango, passion, and joy. It takes place in one of Zurich’s most beautiful dance halls, the historic Zunft zur Wiedikon, also known as Gasthof Falken. The venue is not only full of nostalgic charm and history, but also offers a wooden dance floor, excellent acoustics, and a lovely outdoor area that invites guests to reconnect with old friends and make new ones. Every year, approx. 150 dancers from all over Switzerland and abroad come together here to share their passion for tango. Because we love the personal connections and want to create the best possible experience for everyone, we keep the festival intentionally small. This allows you to connect easily with dancers, artists, DJs, organizers, and the team.
Flor de Tango is all about dancing, connecting and spending time together. That’s why we offer dinner for a contribution of CHF 10 per person in the foyer of the festival hall. And let’s be honest – eating together is simply more fun! 😊
We are incredibly proud to welcome outstanding international artists at our festival. In 2027, we will have the great pleasure of hosting the amazing maestros Yanina Quiñones & Neri Piliu at our festival. They are among the most internationally recognized Argentine tango couples. Since 2005, they have captivated audiences worldwide with their elegance, passion, and virtuosity on the dance floor. On Sunday evening, we will have the great pleasure of welcoming the Orchestra Mafalda. Led by the renowned Argentine bandoneon player Fernando Maguna from Marseille, the orchestra will perform some of the most beautiful tangos live.
Our internationally renowned DJs will also be travelling to Zurich with plenty of vinyl in their luggage — goosebumps guaranteed! There is something truly special about the warm, authentic sound of vinyl that transports dancers to another era. We are beyond excited to welcome one of the most famous vinyl DJs, the Argentine Ignacio Cavalieri from Ibiza. The renowned DJane Andre Dan, who regularly performs at some of the world's most prestigious tango marathons and encuentros, will be joining us all the way from Italy. Oxana Kovalenko, known from Maracuentro Basel, will enchant us with her exquisite vinyl selection. Massimo Aliotta, one of our local heroes and a passionate lover of vinyl and tango, will take you on a journey that you won't forget.
It is very important for us that everyone feels welcome and can enjoy the event. The number of participants is limited. We will maintain a balanced ratio of followers and leaders. We recommend registering as a couple to ensure you can participate.
We can't wait to embrace you!

The organizers
Selita Telli
For many years, I organised La Perla, one of Zurich’s largest and most beautiful milongas. When we could no longer use the venue, I decided to start a new chapter and bring Flor de Tango to life.
My love for tango music and, above all, for people is what inspires me. I want everyone to feel welcome and to create a space where openness, warmth and respect are at the heart of everything – respect for tango, its culture and for each other.
Seeing the happy faces of dancers after a weekend of tango and welcoming them back year after year is one of the most rewarding parts of organising the festival.
It's what makes it all worthwhile.

As a piano maker and concert organiser, music has always been one of my greatest passions. While I discovered tango music in my youth, I unfortunately only took up tango dancing a few years ago – a late start, but one that sparked an even deeper passion.
Driven by this enthusiasm, I soon became involved in organising tango events, including Long Tango Weekend Chur, Flor de Tango and Tango Liechtenstein. Excellent sound quality and a warm, welcoming atmosphere have always been at the heart of everything I do.
My greatest wish is to create the best possible conditions for people to connect through music and dance, feel completely at ease, and fully enjoy every moment.
